Customer Service Consultant – PG Glass (South Africa)

PG Glass, part of the PG Group, is South Africa’s leading glass repair and installation company, operating the largest national network of Shatterprufe windscreen and Armourplate automotive glass Fitment Centres. The company also plays a major role in glazing and building glass solutions across Southern Africa.

PG Glass is currently recruiting Customer Service Consultants to support operations at its Fitment Centres nationwide. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with customers, handling administrative tasks, and supporting sales processes in a fast-paced service environment.


About the Customer Service Consultant Role

The Customer Service Consultant is responsible for managing the front desk operations of a PG Glass Fitment Centre. This includes assisting walk-in and telephonic customers, processing internal sales, coordinating schedules, and ensuring payments are accurately collected.

The role requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Consultant at PG Glass, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all counter sales, both face-to-face and telephonic
  • Providing professional advice to customers to ensure successful sales closure
  • Processing insurance and customer claims accurately and efficiently
  • Communicating excess payments clearly and collecting payments correctly
  • Ensuring administrative processes are followed for stock control and ordering
  • Scheduling jobs to maximise fitter productivity and service centre capacity
  • Ordering stock according to work schedules to avoid service delays
  • Ensuring compliance with PG Glass operational standards and procedures
  • Supporting management with reasonable operational requests

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and telephonic communication skills
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work accurately with payments and administration
