Learner Development Administrator (LDA) – Gauteng

A permanent Learner Development Administrator (LDA) opportunity is available at TALA, based in Sandton, Johannesburg. This role forms part of the Learner Support Centre (LSC) and plays a critical role in supporting the organisation’s Learning Academy.

The Learner Development Administrator supports structured training delivery to dealer networks by ensuring compliance, quality administration, and professional learner support. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in training administration, human resources, and customer service environments.


About the Learner Development Administrator Role

The Learner Development Administrator is responsible for providing end-to-end administrative support to learning and development operations. The role ensures all activities align with Quality Management Systems (QMS), legislative requirements, and best-practice training standards.

The incumbent works closely with internal teams, service providers, and learners to ensure training programmes are delivered efficiently and professionally.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

Learner Development Administrator Administration Duties

  • Updating and maintaining QMS and SOP documentation
  • Supporting commercial training activities and reporting
  • Managing records, learner data, and information systems
  • Administering the Learner Management System, including prospectus setup, learner activation, billing, and calendars
  • Coordinating training schedules, workshops, and learning interventions
  • Managing training inventory distribution across BNLE countries
  • Maintaining and updating internal databases

Customer Service and Stakeholder Support

  • Acting as a customer service liaison for learner and stakeholder queries
  • Resolving problems and providing professional feedback
  • Liaising with service providers and ensuring SLA compliance

Events Coordination and Facilities Support

  • Supporting project planning and coordination activities
  • Tracking project progress and providing feedback
  • Participating in PDCA improvement activities
  • Establishing and maintaining facilities SOPs

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for the Learner Development Administrator role, candidates must have:

  • NQF Level 5 qualification (240 credits or above) in ETD or a related field
  • Experience in administration or training administration
  • Knowledge of ETD legislation and compliance
  • Exposure to shared services or customer service environments
  • Strong PC literacy, including Advanced Excel, MS Projects, and SAP / SAP Concur
