Job Purpose – City of Tshwane Leading Firefighter Vacancies
The purpose of the Leading Firefighter role is to render an effective, efficient, and professional fire and rescue service on a daily basis, ensuring rapid response to emergencies and adherence to operational standards.
Appointment Requirements – Leading Firefighter Tshwane
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Basic Ambulance Course with current HPCSA registration
- Fire Fighter I and Fire Fighter II
- Hazmat First Responder:
- Awareness Level
- Operational Level
- Valid Code C driving licence
- Competency to operate Code C vehicles (confirmed annually)
- Minimum three years’ experience in a fire and rescue environment
- Physical fitness and good health
- Must pass:
- Physical capability test
- Medical evaluation
- Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and fingerprint verification (at own cost)
- Willingness to be deployed to any fire station in Tshwane
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and standby duties
